panoramic presence

Meditation happens spontaneously in the desert. No need to close your eyes. There is not much to distract awareness out there. Wandering thoughts instantly melt under the sun. All the senses are drinking in the unusual levels of stillness and silence. It does not take long before the mind starts mirroring what it is looking at: vast emptiness. You end up sitting there, merged with sand and sky, enjoying the panoramic presence, feeling like time has stopped.
